HOWARD T. SMITH age 85 of Murfreesboro, TN died Friday May 7, 2010. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Loyd Clyde and May Bilbrey Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cecil Stinson Smith; sons, Millard (Kim) Smith of Franklin, TN, and Terry Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Diane (Tony) Emison of Bells, TN; sister, Elene (Cranor) Elrod of Oak Ridge, TN; granddaughters, Leslie Smith of Hendersonville, TN, and Alison Smith of Franklin, TN. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Craig Goff and Dr. Jim Clardy officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Smith was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, former owner and operator of Smith Machine Shop for over 25 years, and a retired farmer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disaster Relief Team at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 1267 N. Rutherford Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN 37130 in memory of Mr. Smith.
