HOWARD RAY SIMPKINS, age 77 of Murfreesboro died Sunday November 14, 2010 at his home. He was native of Herrin Illinois and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sue Simpkins, a daughter, Vickie Rae Simpkins, and his parents, Albert and Minnie Simpkins. Mr. Simpkins was former owner of Murfreesboro Tool and Engineering and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his son Perry Simpkins and wife Diane; daughter, Wendy Rollins; grandchildren, Andrew Hunter Rollins and Austin Thorne Rollins all of Murfreesboro. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites.
