Howard Stanley Ingrum, 83 went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday November 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN.

Stan was predeceased by his parents, George and Vera Ingrum of Blytheville, AR where he was born on December 2, 1933. Stan was reared with his sister, Joyce, in Blytheville until he left to attend Ouachita Baptist College. His time at Ouachita was interrupted by his service for the Army in Korean War. After his return, he met the love of his life JoAnn Hart. He graduated in May of 1958 and married JoAnn in October of the same year.

Stan's love of numbers led him to a long and rewarding career with Shell Oil Company in Houston, TX. Stan was a purchasing agent and loved to negotiate, everything from multi-million dollar contracts to office supplies. He and JoAnn lived in Houston for 32 years where they raised three sons, Kent, Kyle and Kelly.

After retirement, Stan and JoAnn moved to Lake Junaluska, NC and later to Murfreesboro to be near their sons and grandchildren. Stan enjoyed this time of his life with trips to the beach, camping and endless activities with his grandchildren.

Stan had a lifelong love of music and singing. He sang in school and church choirs throughout his life, most recently at Northside Baptist where he and JoAnn have attended since moving to Murfreesboro. Stan's growing faith was central to his life. He shared and showed the love of Jesus in many ways with many people.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, JoAnn, his sister Joyce (Jim) Wyatt, his three sons, Kent (Dawn & Kay) , Kyle (Anna), Kelly (Martha), and nine grandchildren Ryan (Joanne Lue) Hilary, Zach, John, Isaac, Katherine, Lila and Joy.

Visitation will be after 1:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with David Bramble officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. www.woodfinchapel.com
