Horton Eve Mayo, Jr, age 94, passed away August 3, 2015. He was a native of Nashville, TN, and son of the late Annie Lee Clark Mayo and Horton Eve Mayo, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Elizabeth Culbertson Mayo, and a son, Horton Eve "Rosie" Mayo, III. A memorial service will be held Saturday August 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Saturday until service time at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Mayo is survived by sons, William H. "Bill" Mayo (Janice) and James Edward Mayo (Pat); daughter, Cheryl Ann Mayo Roberts; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and a sister, Bettye Ann Mayo Wright. Mr. Mayo was a Navy veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of Pipefitters Local Union #572 for 32 years. He was a member of Westvue Church of Christ.
