HORACE D. WATKINS, age 86, of Murfreesboro died Monday, October 25, 2010. He was a native of Jacksonville, FL and the son of the late Charles D. and Stacy Smotherman Watkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife Alene Watkins, brother, Charlie Watkins, and two infant children. Graveside services will be 1:00PM Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Bush officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Watkins is survived by his sisters-in-law, Pat Carlisle of Whitleyville, TN, Elizabeth (Walter) Goard of Nashville, TN, Wanda (Larney) Wilson and Beverly (Les) Barker both of Murfreesboro, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Watkins was a member of the Baptist Church and retired from the State of Tennessee. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
