Hiram Epps "Junior" Edwards, Jr., age 95 of the Mt. Juliet, TN passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Born in the Rockdale-Fellowship Community in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Hiram Epps Edwards, Sr., and Erlene McPeak Edwards. Mr. Edwards was also preceded in death by sisters, Edna E. Comer, and Juanita Burlason Johnson; a brother, Bennie Edwards; and grandson Joey Paty.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his daughters, Judy Street and her husband John of Lebanon, TN and Pam Skelton and her husband Tommy of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren: Jeff Paty, Joely (Chris) Poore, Shelly and Sheena Skelton, and granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Paty; great-grandchildren, Jordan Paty, Dylan Paty, Savannah Paty, Zakk Paty, Logan Paty, Trey Paty, Truleigh Paty, Jayden Poore, Christopher Poore, and Braxton Barrett; and great-great-grandchildren, Jameson and Caiden Paty; brothers, W. D. Edwards and Cecil (Ernesteen) Edwards of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Leon Edwards of Pegram, TN; sisters, Gloria (Bob) Swanner, Gay Humfield, and Bobbie (Charles) Nabors all of Mt. Juliet, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Living Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Edgar Boles and Derrick Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Lannom Cemetery with Jeff, Jordan, and Dylan Paty, Tommy Skelton, John Street, Chris Poore, Ronnie, and Sammy Edwards, DuWayne Kessler and Jay Covington serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday at Living Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Edwards was a member of Living Springs Baptist Church and retired from Gaylord Entertainment in Telecommunications.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Hyatt Sutton for the care and special friendship to Mr. Edwards.
