Hiram Lester, Jr., 45, of Birmingham, Alabama, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of Hiram Lester, Sr., of Murfreesboro and the late Carolyn Hill Lester. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Don Turskey will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Lester is survived by his wife, Kristen Sissom Lester; father, Hiram Lester, Sr., of Murfreesboro; and sister, Nicole Lester Russell and her husband Joe of Murfreesboro. Mr. Lester was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and was a 1986 graduate of Riverdale High School. He received his B.S. from Virginia College in Birmingham with a 4.0 G.P.A. He was a Middleware Team Lead with Regions Bank of Birmingham. Mr. Lester was president of the Doctor Who Fan Club and a volunteer with MommaKat Rescue and Adoption Organization.
