Hildeguard Rigby-Meth

Our beloved mother, Hildegard Rigby-Meth, age 87, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026. Mrs. Rigby-Meth was a native of Bayreuth, Germany, and the daughter of the late Johann Hofmann and Kunigunde Miasel Hofmann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Ernest Charles Rigby-Meth. She took care of her family until the day she died. She will be remembered for her kindness, cooking, and resilience during adversity.

She is survived by her son, Max Rigby-Meth of Murfreesboro, TN, daughter, Barbara (Glenn) Morton of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Veronica (James) Hopper, and Amanda Eggleston; and great-grandchildren, Jada Rose Parrish, Mia Hopper, James David Hopper, Hana Mae Hopper, Emma Grace Hopper, Nile Martin, Eden Carlton, Iris Falby, and Ruby Morton.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
