Hilda Crawford, age 91 of Smyrna died Wednesday June 27, 2012. She was a native of London England and was preceded in death by her parents, Caleb and Maude Henry Winch, her husband, Roy Crawford, and granddaughter, Lisa Utley. Mrs. Crawford member of Womens Land Army in England and had worked for the Telephone Company in England. She attended River of Life Church in Smyrna and was retired from Central State Hospital, and had worked for Wal-Mart in Smyrna. Mrs. Crawford was an active participant in the Stones River Baptist Church Prayer Shaw ministry and has made over 275 shawls. She is survived by her children; Sandra Brown, Mike Crawford, and Gary Crawford and wife Anita; grandchildren; Sean Utley, Ashley Crawford, Justin Crawford and his wife Cody, Matt Crawford and his wife Shelby, Marcus, Morgan and Alexis Crawford; great-grandchildren; Ethan, Alisha, Zach, and Addison. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to River of Life Church or Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday at River of Life Church with Brother, Ed Irwin officiating.
