HILDA ELLEN BOWEN, age 98, of Murfreesboro, died January 12, 2011 at Community Care. Mrs. Bowen was a native of Dayton, Ohio, and daughter of the late William Edwin and Gertrude Eleanor Shain Manning. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Bowen is survived by two daughters, Valerie Smothers of Lebanon, KY and Doris (Ken) Sweetman of Murfreesboro; 16 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clentie Wilbert Bowen and two daughters, Audrey Michael and Hilda Boyd.
