HERSHALL CARL MELTON age 90 of Murfreesboro, TN died Tuesday February 17, 2009. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sallie Lillian Robinson Melton. Survived by wife, Becky Baskin Melton, brother, Jack Melton, two sisters, Vergie Leonard, and Lillian Powell all of Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Melton was also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Charles Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Melton was a member of the Kingwood Heights Church of Christ and a WW II U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Melton was a long time barber in Rutherford County. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse Ruel Melton, Robert Foster Melton, Arthur B. Melton, Samuel Paul Melton, and sisters, Ginny Mae Ferrell, and Marion Sepal Melton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
