HERBERT EUGENE HOOVER age 79 of the Blackman community died Sunday November 2, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late, Eugene W. and Mary Jacobs Hoover. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Bro Ron Harper and Bro. Jim Creech will officiate. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McDonald Hoover, sons and daughters-in-law, Gilbert Franklin and Melanie Hoover of Lawrenceville Georgia, Robert Douglas and Lisa Hoover of Hoovers Gap; daughters and son-in law, Denise and Donnie Corbin of Petersburg, and Pam Hoover of Murfreesboro; brother, and sister-in-law, Don and Seong Hoover of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, LeAnna Corbin and Victoria Miles, Justin, Andrew, Christopher, and Parker Hoover, Britt and Locke Hoover. Mr. Hoover was a member of Minerva Drive Church of Christ, and was a retired agent with Branniff Airline. Active pallbearers will be Greg and Larry McDonald, Jim Robertson, Donnie Corbin, Bill Hayes, Lock, Britt, Andrew, and Justin Hoover. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. E.C. Tolbert, and Elders and Deacons of Minerva Church of Christ. He was 1947 graduate of Central High School and attended MTSU. Memorial may be made to Minerva Drive Church of Christ Scholarship Fund. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel
