Helen Emily Upchurch, age 76, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Jessie Mann; and grandson, Eziekel.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Upchurch; daughters, Dorothy Hight, Veronica Upchurch, and Valarie Edmondson; grandchildren, Abel, Jennifer, Julie, Tyler, Tate, and Dallas; eight great grandchildren; and numerous beloved cousins and close friends.

Helen was a charter member of Kingwood Church of Christ and leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service. A proud graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, she went on to earn her master's degree from Peabody College. Helen dedicated 34 years to sharing her love of books and inspiring young minds as a librarian. She also found joy in traveling, flowers, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 10:00-12:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
