Helen D. Overton Courtney age 95 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Tuesday September 20, 2011. A native of Knox County, she was the daughter of the late U. L. and Nancy Norman Overton. Mrs. Courtney was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Carl Courtney who died in 2000. Mrs. Courtney is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Cynthia and Harry Davis of Wartburg, TN and Sandra and Eddie Lehto of Smyrna, TN; sister, Mary Ruth Banks of Ocean Isle, NC; grandchildren, Kevin Lehto, Erik Lehto and his wife Jennifer, Vince Lehto, Jennifer Brasel and her husband Bill, and Jonathan Davis; great- grandchildren, Michael Davis, Lauren Brasel, Ashley Davis, and Leslie Lehto. Graveside services will be 11: 00 AM Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Brother Ron Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Courtney was a member of River Rock Baptist Church and a retired Pharmacy Technician. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151.
