Mrs. Hazel Lynch Gillespie, age 95, passed away peacefully Friday, May 30, 2025. She was lifelong resident of Rutherford County, TN and a daughter of the late Silder "A.S." and Annie Lou Bennett Lynch. Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker to her family and a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Eagleville, TN. She enjoyed going on shopping trips to other cities, visiting Biltmore, and spending time with her cats.

Mrs. Gillespie is survived by her children, Linda Barlow and her husband Fred, Mary "Deanie" Alsup and her husband Ed, Joan Henley and her husband Mike, Frank Gillespie, Jeff Gillespie and his wife Cathy; grandchildren, Luke, Caleb, Ashley, Kacie, Ellie, and Zoe; great grandchildren, Patience, Gavin, Gage, Lathan, Thomas, and Franklin; and sister, Elizabeth Edmondson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clifton E. Gillespie, and brother, Billy Lynch.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
