Haskel Knight, age 85, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2017. A native of Elmore County, Alabama, he was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mottis Luverne Collier Knight; sisters, Omigene Glasscock and Dewilda Bass; and brothers, Durvin, Berland, and Shelly Knight.

Mr. Knight is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Blackwell Knight; daughter, Pam Lewis and her husband Paul of Smyrna; granddaughter, Tracie Reed and her husband Matt of Cane Ridge, TN; great grandchildren, Nehem, Finley and Micah; brothers, Oswald Knight and his wife Jeanie of Montgomery, AL, Hilton Knight and his wife Barbara of Wetumpka, AL and Galan Knight and his wife Juanita of Wetumpka; sisters, Gladys Barden and her husband Walter of Auburn, AL and Glenda Hall and her husband Hilton of Opelika, AL; along with many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Knight was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ. He was a proud veteran having served in the United States Navy and was a retired postal carrier with the United States Post Office. Mr. Knight was a proud fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football.

Memorials in memory of Mr. Knight can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A graveside service will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Pine View Memorial Gardens in Wetupmka, AL.
