Harvey Ray Thompson, age 76, died April 11, 2012. Mr. Thompson is the son of the late Harvey W and Alma Pauline Griffin Thompson. He is also preceded in death by his son Robert Ray Thompson and a brother James Clinton Thompson. Mr. Thompson is survived by his lifelong girlfriend of 30 years Patricia Gentry of Smyrna; son Curtis Thompson of Smyrna; daughters Gayle Allen, Teresa Hoover, Ashley (Alan) Musgrove, and Pamela (Lee) Parker all of Smyrna; grandchildren Crystal Thompson Tuttle, Angel Riley, Johnny Allen, Christopher Hensley, Michael Hoover, Jamacia Ivey, Steven Thompson, Alicia Denson, Jacob Peter Musgrove, Skylar Musgrove, Jase Bumpus, Hunter Bumpus, Brittany Sexton, Trenton Parker, and Destiny Parker; great-grandchildren Courtney Cantrell, Dylan Cantrell, Kayla Riley, Tucker Riley, Caitlyn Estes, Aubray Estes, and Sam Hensley; brother Wayne (Judy) Thompson of Smyrna; sister Loretta (Rudy) Del Rio of OR; devoted cousin and best friend Dennis Thompson of Smyrna; and family friend Betty Wright of Lebanon. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna. Rev. Scott Gillon will officiate. Burial will follow at Hamilton Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
