HARRY LEON EVANS, age 84, of Smithville, Tn. died Monday at NHC in Smithville, Tn. He was born in Fulton County, Ky. and was the son of the late Charlie & Annie Stroud Evans. He is survived by his loving wife, Katie Evans; son, Jimmie Evans and his wife, Susan of Smithville; daughter, Lisa Hazlett, Murfreesboro; sister, Dorothy Mae Porter, Danville, New York; grandchildren, James Evans, Chasity Hazlett, Breanne Greer and Cody Greer; step grandchildren, Trevor Taylor, Scheyenne Taylor and Eric Taylor; great grandchildren, Megan Evans and Caden Mears. Funeral services 2 pm Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ben Wakefield officiating. Entombment in Roselawn. Visitation with the family after 11 am Thursday. Mr. Evans was a veteran of the United States Navy, member of the Methodist Church and a retired employee of the Murfreesboro Post Office.
