Obituary

Harry Raymond Cook, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Murfreesboro, TN. He was the son of the late Allen and Helen Merwin Cook.

Harry is survived by his children; Teena Field (Shawn), Bill Cook (Marilyn), Kelly Alderman, and Jennifer Morris (Randy); grandchildren, David Windhausen, Kelly Ellis (Don), Jeff Cook (Mallory), Hunter Morris, Allison Alderman, and Harry Alderman; great-grandchildren, Greyson Satterfield, Marley Cook, Henry Cook, Sydney Cook, and Levi Ellis; brother, John Cook; sister; Emily Cook; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends all who brought him immense joy. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary, and his grandsons, Ryan Field and Andy Cook.

One of fifteen children, Harry was known early in life for his athleticism, often playing sports alongside his brothers. After graduating from high school, he was recruited by the L.A. Dodgers, a testament to his exceptional talent. In 2024, he was honored with induction into his high school athletic Hall of Fame, a recognition to be proud of.

Despite opportunities on the field, Harry chose the love of his life, high school sweetheart, Mary. Together they created a beautiful love story and a strong, close-knit family that remained the center of Harry's world.

Harry found joy in hunting, playing golf, working in the yard, and most of all, spending time with his family. Family was everything to him, and his legacy lives on through the generations he loved so deeply. Harry will be remembered for his devotion, warmth, strength and love.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations can be made in his honor to Alive Hospice and Alzheimer's Association.
