Harold "Buddy" Warren Follis, age 67 of Murfreesboro, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, March 18, 2013. He was born October 19, 1945 in Donelson, TN to the late Grady Harold and Teasley Elizabeth Howard Follis. He was also preceded in death by his son, William Lee Follis. Mr. Follis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janice Davenport Follis; daughter, Dori Follis Cook and her husband, Frederick W. Cook, Jr., of Spring Hill, TN; son, Robert Wayne Follis and his wife, Kristie Follis of Murfreesboro, TN; mother-in-law, Grace Richardson of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Robert Wilson Follis and his wife Pat of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Sue Follis House and her husband Bill of Gladeville, TN, and Betty Follis Dozier and her late husband Steve of Brentwood, TN; sister-in-law; Denise Davenport Palma and her husband Daniel of LaVergne, TN; grandchildren, Emily Davis, Taylor Cook, Shelby Follis, Lindsey Cook, and Madison Follis; 18 nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastors Dan Scott and Dedrick Messenger, Bro. Dwight Bennison, and Robert Follis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Taylor Cook, Brandon Palma, Caleb Palma, Aaron Newman, Frederick W Cook, Jr., and Daniel Palma serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, his friends Pot Graves, John Grizzard, Dave Nichols, Richard Head, Ken Winter, Steve Goforth, George Snyder, Paul Russell, and the ushers of Christ Church Nashville. Mr. Follis was a graduate of Donelson High School and attended Tennessee Technological University. He was the Owner and Operator of Signmasters, LLC in Murfreesboro from 1991 to 2012. Mr. Follis retired as Executive Vice President of Manufacturing for Cummings Sign Co., Inc., where he was employed from 1966 to 1991. He was a member of Christ Church Nashville in Brentwood where he served as an usher. Mr. Follis was formerly an ordained deacon and Sunday School teacher at Riverview Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
