HAROLD J. TACKETT, age 83 of Smyrna, Tn. died May 24, 2008 at his home. He was born in Weeksbury, Ky. and was the son of the late Columbus & Bertha Johnson Tackett. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Opal Mullins Tackett; son in law, William T. Parks of Smyrna, two grandchildren, Amy Lynn Fielder and April Lee Parks of Christiana; two great grandchildren, Bryan Thomas Fielder and McKenzie Fielder of Christiana; sister and brother in law, Robert and Helen Zuern of Ga. many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be 2-4 pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. He then will be transported to Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tn. where visitation will be 11-1 pm Wednesday with funeral services to follow at 1 pm Wednesday at Hatmaker Funeral Home. Burial in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Dutch Valley, Tennessee with full military rites and Masonic Services. Mr. Tackett was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Parks and a brother, Glendal Tackett. He was a veteran of WW II having served in the U. S.
