Harold K. Skidmore, age 80 of Manchester, formerly of Smyrna died Friday at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Waynesburg, KY and a son of the late Fred and Myrtle Skidmore. He was also preceded in death by his wife Vivian Isabella Skidmore who died in 2011. Mr. Skidmore is survived by his son Michael Skidmore and his wife Belinda of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren Laura Michelle Skidmore Huff of Murfreesboro and Michael Ross Skidmore and his wife Heather of Lawton, OK; three great grandchildren Abigail, Noah and Ryder; and a sister Carol Fay Greer of Louisa KY. Mr. Skidmore was a retired United States Air Force Veteran and a member of the Baptist faith. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and again Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:30am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A graveside service with military honors will be 11:00am Tuesday in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Richard Lynn Skidmore officiating.
