Harold Lee Murphey, Jr.'s Obituary
Harold Lee Murphey, Jr. "Lee" passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and loved ones after a nearly 38 year struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
He is survived by Nita Guinn and Ray Bennett, Harold and Darlene Murphey, Margaret Murphey, Rosa Guinn, Wayne Newcomb, Michael Murphey, Wesley and Teresa Guinn, Joey Burton and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew, friends and nurses.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Little, Dr. Vallejo, Tennessee Justice Center, Alive Hospice, and the nurses who helped make it possible for Lee to be at home with loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Saturday December 12, 2015 starting at 11:00 a.m. at both Lee's home and the home of Harold and Darlene Murphey. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that people consider a donation to the Alliance for Recreational Empowerment or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Donations for A.R.E. can be mailed to A.R.E./Dr. Maria L. Edlin at 675 Harding Place Suite J3 in Nashville, TN 37211 or via paypal at allianceforrecreationalempowerment.org
