Mr. Harold Dean Cox, age 74, of LaVergne, TN died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Smyrna, TN. He was born in Urban, KY to the Arthur and Betty Wolfe Cox. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by a son, Harold Dean Cox, Jr. He was a retired truck driver for McLean Trucking Company and Huskey Lumber in Franklin, TN and was a member of Teamsters Local 480. Mr. Cox enjoyed fishing for striped bass on Percy Priest Lake and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Proctor Cox; son, John P. Cox and his wife Lisa of Smyrna; grandchildren, Jacqueline Cox, Lauren A. Martin and her husband Keith, John Alexander Cox, Emily Allison, and Kyle Allison; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. A private service will be held at a later date.
