Mr. Willis is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Mitchell Willis; son, David Willis, and his wife April of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Carol Dawson, and her husband John of Brentwood, TN; brother, Clyde Willis, and his wife Johnnie of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Catherine and Emily Willis, John Will Dawson, and his wife Ginger, and Gini Dawson Moonshower, and her husband Tom; great grandchildren, Will and Ryan Dawson, and David and Dawson Moonshower.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. David Young officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday one hour before the service at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Willis was a 1944 graduate of Kittrell High School and retired owner and operator of Jennings/American Tire Company. He was also a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ, Murfreesboro Noon Rotary Club, and was a Paul Harris Fellow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association in memory of Mr. Willis.
