Gregory Lamar Hooper, age 56 of Murfreesboro passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late John Stanley and Sue Stone Hooper. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Hooper.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Cory Trimble will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Tyler Hooper, daughter, Erica Morton and her husband Joe, brother, Bruce Hooper and his wife Patti, nieces and nephews, Taylor, Ryan and Ellie Hooper, all of Murfreesboro, Sara Beth Marashi and her husband Ala of Nashville and Matthew Hooper of Portland.

Mr. Hooper was a graduate of Oakland High School. Full of charisma, he lived his life to the fullest and yet at times seemly lost, but by God's grace he has been found.

Pallbearers will be Tim James, Johnny Barnes, Dallas Hill, Bubba Williams, Joe Morton and Wayne Reed.
