Grady L. Sartain Jr, age 71, of Smyrna, TN, passed peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2016. A native of Nashville, TN he was the son of the late Grady and Mary Jordon Sartain Sr; and a son, Shannon Sartain.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN with military honors. Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate.

Mr. Sartain is survived by his children, Wendy Wood of Smyrna, TN; Sendy Gann of Lafayette, TN; Kim Mills of Michie, TN; and Grady L. Sartain III; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Sartain was a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired welder with Henessey Enterprises in LaVergne, TN. He was a very hard worker, and a jokster. Mr. Sartain was a kind, considerate, caring man, a best friend with a big heart who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
