GRADY HALL MESSICK, age 83, of Murfreesboro died Friday, January 2, 2008 at Community Care. He was born in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Sidney Richard & Jane Winfrey Messick. He is survived by his sister, Mary Katherine Simpson Adams of Murfreesboro and her husband, Sidney; brother Cleve Messick and his wife Ruth of Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 10 am Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bud Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery. Mr. Messick was a veteran of WW II having served in the U. S. Army, a retired farmer, and a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Fannie Ruth Insell, Edith Jones, and his brothers, Wiley Messick, Rev. Frank Messick, M. C. Messick and Roy Messick. Visitation with the family will be from 2-6 pm Sunday.
