Grady Roy Jones, age 79 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was a native of Davidson County and the son of the late Dorris Smith and Marjorie Batson Jones.

Funeral service will be 4:00pm Saturday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. Chris Warren will officiate. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Sunday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, TN.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pollyanna Anderson Jones, son and daughter- in- law, Dorris Glenn and Dr. Pamela O. Jones and grandson, Hayden Crockett Jones of Nashville.

Mr. Jones was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, taught aerospace technology at Middle Tennessee State University until 2002 (fulltime) and then as needed for several more years. Grady's passion was his gun shop, The Collection Connection, which operated from 1981 until his passing. He outfitted many local skeet and trap shooters with clothing, equipment and guns. He passed the passion he inherited from his father to his son and grandson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glenn Jones, Nelson Vaughter, Jim Michaels, Gene Lowe, Randall Steagall and Paul Melton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in his memory.
