Grady Eugene "Gene" Stem, age 63 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday, May 28, 2014. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Grady Alson and Sarah Alice Rowland Stem. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Curt Waggoner will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Stem, son, Philip Stem, and brother, James A. Rowland, all of Murfreesboro. Mr. Stem was a member and deacon at Riverdale Baptist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and attended MTSU. He was a Tool and Die Journeyman until his retirement. Pallbearers will be Scott Goode, Dan Stockton, Lane Garland, Jack Keisling, Tommy Green and Jeff McClain. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Riverdale Baptist Church building fund, 307 Warrior Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37128.
