Grace Scott Smithson, age 98 of Murfreesboro died February 4, 2015. She was a native of DeKalb County and was the daughter of the late, Lige Scott and Cora Cook Scott; she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Smithson who died in 1987, sons William Harold Smithson, Henry Allen Smithson, Robert Wade Smithson, and one daughter, Barbara Jones, and four grandchildren. Mrs. Smithson was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Windrow of Rockvale, Sue Hibdon of Rockvale, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Salem Cemetery in Liberty, TN. Grandsons and great-grandsons will be pallbearers. Ricky Scott will officiate.
