DELAHUNT, Grace Marie Bush, age 85, died on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Born November 12, 1924 in Flushing, NY. Mrs. Delahunt attended Cornell University New York Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse in Hawaii. She married her husband, the late Joseph Delahunt, and relocated to Connecticut, where they raised a family and resided for many years. Mrs. Delahunt was a longtime member of Black Rock Congregational Church in Faifield, CT and attended Silliman Baptist Church in Bridgeport, CTand St Pauls Episcopal in Murfreesboro, TN in later years. She worked at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield for twenty years, before retiring. Mrs. Delahunt enjoyed travelling, spending time with friends and family, reading, and gardening. She will be remembered by her family and many friends as a caring, and hospitable woman with a warm smile and generous spirit; as a woman strong in her faith; and as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children: Joseph Delahunt and wife LaRee of Bridgeport,CT; Nancy Delahunt Loucky and husband David of Murfreesboro, TN; James Delahunt of New Haven,CT; her grandchildren, Richard Delahunt, Bethany Delahunt, Scott Delahunt, Sarah Delahunt, Jimmy Delahunt, Andrew Loucky, and Tyler Loucky. A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 12 at 3 pm at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro. She will be interred at Ferncliff Cemetery Mausoleum, Hartsdale, New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Elders First, PO Box 332966, Murfreesboro TN 37133. It was adult day care that made it possible for her to stay at home living with her family for 13+ years.
