Gloria Beatrice Travis, 86, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at her home in Eagleville. Mrs. Travis was the daughter of the late Horace and Susie Beasley Modrall. She is also preceded in death by her husbands Aubrey Phender Sharber and Richard Aaron Travis, brothers, Thomas Modrall, Horace Wood Modrall, Jr. and Buddy Modrall, sisters, Helen Evans, Geraldine Lanahan and Hazel Carey. Mrs. Travis is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Paul) Williams of Shelbyville, Wanda Sharber of Christiana, and Cheryl (Mike) Cobb of Decherd, brother, Hollis Modrall, sister, Shirley Byrn; grandchildren Susan (Mike) Davenport, Troy (Traci) Williams, Chad (Jaclyn) Williams, Elicia Evans, Kellie (Jim) Mears, Kevin (Shae) Willis, Michelle (Johnny) Reid, David (Jamie) Cobb, 17 great-grand children; and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro. Grandson Troy Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Carlton Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
