Gloria Jean Farris, age 66 of Rockvale died Monday January 5, 2015 at her home. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her parents, Sammie Lee and Ruby Williams Pinkston, and brother, James Donald Pinkston. Mrs. Farris was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and a 1966 graduate of Rockvale High School. She was a long time employee of Dempsey Vantrease & Follis. Mrs. Farris is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, James Farris, daughter, Lori Ann McKellar and husband, Thad of Rockvale, and grandsons, Taylor McKellar and Heath McKellar. Pallbears will be Mark Follis, Bubba Dempsey, Brownie Vantrease, Kris Parkhurst, Mike Hallum, Jeff and Mike Pinkston. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother David Young officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
