GLORIA RICE DOCKERY age 92 of Murfreesboro, TN died Wednesday May 26, 2010. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late James and Isabell Baird Rice. Mrs. Dockery is survived by her son and daughter in law, Wayne Rice and Linda Dockery of Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter and son in law, Ellen (Rena) and Ron Scudder of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Pamela Vasser of Murfreesboro, TN, Jonathan Scudder o f Murfreesboro, TN, and Mariellen Scudder of Murfreesboro, TN; great- grandchildren, Alex and Miranda Vasser; as well as several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Eugene Cotey officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Dockery was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired Medical Technologist with the Alvin C. York V.A. Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband J. Howard Dockery and brothers Buford and James Rice and sisters, Sue Daniels, Irene Yearwood, and Sarah Pilkington. Family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or the St. Clair Senior Center in memory of Mrs. Dockery.
