Glenn Hollandsworth, age 75, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 15, 2016 at his home in Murfreesboro. A native of the Kittrell community, he was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Thelma Todd Hollandsworth; son, Christopher Dallas Hollandsworth, daughter, Kelli Jo Hollandsworth ; granddaughter, Margaret "Maggie" Jones; and sister, Gayle Mingle. He was a member of Woodbury Road Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Peggy Scott Hollandsworth; 2 grandchildren, Glenn Hollandsworth (Andrea) and Kayla Dayton (Dusty); brothers, Larry (Rita) Hollandsworth, Gary (Carol) Hollandsworth; sisters, Shirley (Gary) Thomas, Brenda (Ronald) Armstrong, and Claudia (Randy) Johnson; brother-in-law, Larry (Peggy) Mingle; sister-in-law, Debbie (Randy Gann) Patterson; mother-in-law Polly Scott; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends

Mr. Hollandsworth was a 1959 graduate of Kittrell High School.  He served in the United States Air Force. He was a lifelong member of the banking community serving in a variety of roles at Commerce Union Bank, Murfreesboro Bank and Trust, Mid South Bank and later retired from SunTrust Bank in 1995. He was a member of the Golden Gloves, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #18, and the Shriners. Mr. Hollandsworth was also an avid golfer throughout his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the chapel. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Coleman Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
