Glendon Jay Barrett, age 76 of Murfreesboro died Wednesday May 28, 2025, surrounded by his family at home. He was a native of Wilson Co and was preceded in death by his parents, Tom H. Barrett and Edna Volene McPeak Barrett, also a son Edwin Scott Barrett

Mr. Barrett was a member of Walter Hill Baptist and was a Graduate of Lebanon High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Alvin C. York Medical Center.

Mr. Barrett  is survived by his wife of 53 years Wanda Leahew Barrett; daughters, Jennifer Hopkins, Rebekah Dickerson and husband Brady; grandchildren, Whitney Boyce and husband Adam, Kaitlyn Lang and husband Augie,  Nicholas Barrett, Allie Leonard, and husband Cody, Anslie Hopkins, Finely Dickerson, Sawyer Dickerson; Great-grandchildren, Piper and Barrett Lang; and one on the way, Ridge Oliver Leonard;  and sister, Peggy Leahew.

Visitation will be Saturday May 31st 11:00AM until 1:00PM. Funeral service will be Saturday May 31st at 1:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother, Darrel Whaley. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. www.woodfinchapel.com
