Glendel Bryson Knight , age 78 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 at her home. A native of Woodbury, TN, she was the daughter of the late Walter Middleton and Georgia Bailey Bryson. Mrs. Knight was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph Knight who died in 2007.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her daughter, Beth Ferrell of Smithville, TN; son, John Knight of Nashville, TN; brother, Jim Bryson and his wife Sue of Old Hickory, TN; grandchildren, Zachery Lindsey, Meghan Lindsey, and John Houston Knight; great-granddaughter, Ellie Lindsey; caregivers, Debra Anderson, Beverley Mallory, and Robbie Richardson.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Julian Goodpaster officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Charles Bryson, Zachery Lindsey, David Jenkins, Jeffrey Smith, Paul Richardson, and Sam Davis serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Knight was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ, where she served on the Memorial Garden committee. She also served on the Board of Stones River Manor, City of Murfreesboro Beautification committee, the Woman's Club, Charity Circle, and Ladies Medical Auxiliary. Mrs. Knight was an avid MTSU fan and a member of the Blue Raiders Athletic Association.
