Glen Shelton age 83 of Unionville, passed away Monday October 13, 2014. A native of Coffee County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Helen Shelton. He is also preceded in death by a sister; Margaret Johnston. Funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife Lela Shelton, daughter; Robin Wilson of Shelbyville, son; Rick Shelton and his wife Mary of Mesa Arizona, grandchildren; Jeremy Glen Shelton, Shannon Shelton, great-grandchildren; Jordan Bivins, Makenzie Robinson, and Landon Bivins. He is also survived by his step-children; daughter; Peggy Lambert and her husband Ronnie of Unionville, Lisa Manning and her husband Derrick of Rockvale, Tara Rowland and her husband Edward of Eagleville, step-grandchildren; Chris Manning, Hilary Bennett, Dustin Manning, Amanda Gilliam, Brian Manning, Kelsey West, Hunter Rowland, and step- grandchildren; Tyler Bennett, Brendon Bennett, Will Bennett, Aubrey Gilliam, Peyton Manning, and Will Gilliam. He is survived by five brothers; Clyde Shelton Jr., and his wife Ruth of Manchester, Billy Joe Shelton and his wife Carol of Olympia, Washington, Harold Shelton and wife Ruby, Sam Shelton and his wife all of Manchester, and Don Shelton and his wife Jane of Keller, Texas. Mr. Shelton was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army Veteran. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
