Gladys Faye Wright Gilleland, age 95, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Wright and her brother and five sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Owens Tomkiss (John) of Nottingham, England, and Hope Cook (Chip) of Milton, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Miller (Michael), Brian Barrett, Mary Tennessen, Melody Morgan (Rod), and DeAnna Allen (Tyler); great grandchildren, Barrett and Maggie Miller, Preston Barrett, Leona Tennessen, Tré, Athena, and Phoenix Morgan, and Weston and Morgan Allen.

Gladys was an executive secretary at the VA and devoted member of Lascassas Baptist Church for many years. She lived out her deep faith through countless acts of kindness and a true servant's heart. Her dedication to others was evident in her support of her church and local food bank, where she poured her energy into sharing the love of Christ. She found joy in tending to her garden and cooking meals that brought people together. Gladys, lovingly known as "Aunt Glady" and "grandma to all," will be remembered for her endless love and generosity.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, October 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bradley Creek Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
