Gladys Munday Belcher, age 94, of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at NHC. Mrs. Belcher was a native of Franklin, KY., and the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie Lawler Munday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harry L. Belcher who died in 1999. Mrs. Belcher was a devoted Christian, wife, and mother. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. David Vaughn, Randall Matlock, John Risse, Joe Mayes and David Young will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Belcher is survived by a son, Glen Belcher and his wife Faye of Clarksville, TN.; a daughter, Jean Vaughn and her husband Howard of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, David (Katy) Vaughn, Marsha Vaughn, Susan (Steve) Hassmann, Amy (Adam) Swallows, and Jennifer (Pat) Biter; great grandchildren, Nate and Josh Vaughn, John Howard, Lucy and Harry Hassmann, and Ava Biter. Mrs. Belcher was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of North Boulevard Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 7:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to Stones River Manor or the library at North Boulevard Church of Christ. 893-5151
