Mrs. Gisela Hofman Bowen, age 81, of Murfreesboro, TN went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 19, 2024. She was born in Munich, Germany to the late Rosa Hofman and adopted by Joseph and Maria Ruprecht. Mrs. Bowen attended vocational school in Germany before beginning her working career at BMW. She met her husband while he was stationed in Germany. Mrs. Bowen was a supportive of her husband's Army assignments throughout the world. She attended North Boulevard Church of Christ online.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by her children, Angela Bowen, John Bowen and his wife Sherry B., and Michael Bowen and his wife Sherry D.; lovingly referred to as "Oma" by her grandchildren, Rachel Ferrell and her husband Nick, Justin Bowen and his wife Avery, Sarah Benderman and her husband Kevin, Carly Sewell and her husband Clay, Spencer Bowen, and Michael David Bowen; great-grandchildren, John David Ferrell, Logan James Ferrell, and William Everett Benderman; and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul M. Bowen.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 23, 2024 from 9:00am at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
