She was a native of DeKalb County and the daughter of the late James R. and Betty Ann Bess Thomason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, H. Johnson, and sons, Aubrey and Carl Johnson, brothers, Robert Thomason, Jr., William Thomason and Valter Thomason, sisters, Vernie Thomason, Martha Thomason, and Ruby Hale. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Russ) Atkins of Oklahoma City, OK, son, Gary (Brenda) Johnson of Murfreesboro, sister, Ruth Robinson of Murfreesboro, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Christ Apostolic Church. She was a special lady who touched many lives and had a giving heart. She will be greatly missed. As much as she loved her family, her flowers, her church and her opportunities to cook for people, none matched her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 615-893-5151. www.woodfinchapel.com
