Geraldine Hawkins, age 78, was born March 9, 1929, of Murfreesboro, TN., died Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was a nurse assistant at Baptist Hospital and retired there after 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bretta Smith Hawkins; and a brother, Fred Hawkins Jr. She attended Buchanan Elementary and graduated from Murfreesboro Central High School in 1957. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Miss Hawkins is survived by her brother, William Ray Hawkins and his wife Loretta; sister, Judy Brown; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the service at 11:00 a.m. all at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. Brother David Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
