GERALD L. JERRY McDANIELS, age 71, of Murfreesboro, died July 10, 2011. He was a native of Pensacola, FL and son of the late Zeke and Daisy Gibson McDaniels. A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. F. Murray Mathis officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. McDaniels is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marla Kay Gibson McDaniels, sons, Robert (Patricia) McDaniels, and David (Lisa) McDaniels; grandchildren, Kristin, Cody and Drew McDaniels; brothers, Reagan, Irian, Nathan, and Rawa McDaniels; sisters, Connie and Mone` and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Doy, Larry, Ronnie, and Kelvey, and sisters Marge and Quillie. Mr. McDaniels was a member of Third Baptist Church and was retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service including two tours in Vietnam. He was also retired from the Alvin C.
