Gerald Scott Gipson age 35 of Smyrna, passed away Monday March 30, 2015. A native of Abilene, Texas he is preceded in death by his father; Oran Gipson. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna with Pastor Joel Young officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Gipson is survived by his wife of 12 years; Lea Gipson, his children; son; Andrew Gipson, daughter; Mariah Gipson, son Isaac Gipson, three step children; Jordan Paty, Dylan Paty Savannah Paty, his mother and step-father; Chereta Brigman and her husband Jim all of Smyrna and his sister; Shelia Gipson of Lavergne. He is also survived by his grandmother; Eileen Gipson of Abilene, Texas and his niece Madison Nolan of Lavergne. Visitation will be 2:00pm until 8:00pm Friday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna.
