GEORGE HOWARD WATTS age 89 of Murfreesboro, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday October 27, 2010. A native of Cordova, AL, he was the son of the late William Isaac and Addie Mae Wright Watts. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary Wilcoxson and Martha Barr. Mr. Watts is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean Smith Watts; sons and daughters in law, Paul and Janet Watts of Marrero, LA, Steve and Margarita Watts, David and Conchita Watts, and Tim and Beth Watts all of Readyville, TN, Mark and Joan Watts and Barry and Karen Watts all of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Edgar Watts of Franklin, TN, Joe Watts of Cordova, AL, and Herbert Watts of Cypress Texas; sisters, Violet Crocker of Midway, AL and Lenna Mae Grice of Childersburg, AL; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Mr. Watts was a member of Hillview Church of Christ and a retired minister having preached for over 60 years. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
