GEORGE ROBERSON age 65 of Smyrna died Wednesday April 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents the late John William and Margaret Leathers Roberson, and a brother, Jerry Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a member of Rockvale First Independent Baptist Church. He was a self employed contractor. He is survived by his wife, Patti Roberson, children, Anner Roberson Nicholson-Irish, Donna Roberson Clark, Gary Roberson all of Smyrna; step-children, Pattie Rhodes of Michigan, Leona Hill of Murfreesboro, Bobby Hurtung of Florida, Paul Jerry Fortner of Shelbyville, Erline Baldwin and Clet Fortner of Murfreesboro; 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard Roberson, Sr. Ricky Roberson, Sr. Wallace Roberson, Sr.; sister, Lois Pickle, Marlene Ricks, and Cathy Sallee all of Smyrna Pallbearers will be Mark Hodge, Jr. Steven Painter, Mike Staton, Bobby Pickle, Robert Ricks, Howard Roberson, Jr. Jamie Paul Dedmond, Thomas Hill, and Keith Cone. Funeral service will be 11AM Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Ronnie Leathers officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
