George Hollingsworth Miller Jr., age 59, of Smyrna, died November 26, 2009 at his residence. A native of Murfreesboro, he was the son of the late George H. Sr. and Hattie Harris Miller. Services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Monday at the First Free Methodist Church with Rev. Ricky Reed officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until time of service. Mr. Miller will have visitation at 11:00 A.M. at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, TN. on Tuesday with a graveside service following in Jackson Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife Judy Dianne Miller of Smyrna, daughters and sons in law; Denise (David) Bullinger of Romance, Ark., Wendy Darling of Ark., and Charlotte (Roger) Sturgis of Bolivar, TN., one son and daughter in law; Jerry (Michelle) Bevis of Christiana, grandchildren; Ethan and Mason Bevis, Andrew and Joshua Sturgis, Gretchen Bullinger and Madisyn and Cheyenne Darling, one sister and brother in law; Stella (John) Hercules of Lynchburg, two brothers and sister in law; Ronnie (Martha) Miller of S.C. and Jerry Miller of Murfreesboro and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Miller was a member of the First Free Methodist Church in Smyrna and retired from the military. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He had recently been employed with United Tech.
