GEORGE JUSTIN LOMBARDI, age 61, of Murfreesboro died Thursday, December 2, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a native of Bronx, NY and the son of Arline Powers Lombardi and the late Pasquale Pat Lombardi. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Susan Lombardi Sheperd. Funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Murfreesboro. Rev. John Hinkle will officiate. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine Barkley Lombardi, daughter, Annette Lombardi of Murfreesboro, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Teresa Lombardi of New Rochelle, NY, sister-in-law, Cathleen Barkely Deaner of Fairfax Station, VA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Timothy and Pauline Barkley of Slidell, LA, nieces, Lauren Lombardi, Jacqueline Lombardi, and Victoria Barkely, nephews, Paul Deamer and Timothy Barkley, Jr, and numerous family and cousins. Mr. Lombardi was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a US Navy veteran, and a Quality Engineer Consultant. He volunteered at Local Girl Scouts 1159, Murfreesboro City and County Schools, active in the church choir, Sunday School Facilitator, Elder and Deacon. He was highly involved with First Presbyterian activities, MTMC Community Projects, and Rutherford Society.
